Nicola is a knowledgeable litigation and coverage lawyer capable of finding solutions for difficult disputes.

Decisive and detail-oriented, Nicola routinely advises clients on multifaceted, multi-party litigation and coverage matters. She excels at balancing the nuances of complex cases with their place in the larger litigation context, allowing her to provide clients with thorough and strategic advice in the courtroom or as part of a mediated resolution. Nicola maintains a diverse practice, including insurance coverage, class actions, professional liability (including D&O and E&O matters), environmental claims, products liability, property damage, and construction litigation.

Nicola has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada and has argued before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court. Her trial experience includes both jury and non-jury trials.

While completing her LL.B., Nicola was the recipient of several awards for academic achievement and graduated at the top of her class. Prior to joining RLS, she practiced with another well-respected top insurance defence boutique in Toronto.

Outside the office, Nicola can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters or valiantly trying to keep up with her team on the volleyball court.
