Emily Stock

Enthusiastic and results-oriented, Emily is a prominent insurance and business litigation lawyer.

Her litigation practice focuses on the defence of financial and construction professionals. She also provides coverage advice to insurance companies and assists them in managing and resolving complex coverage litigation.

Emily excels at first understanding the scientific and/or business nature of the dispute, and then using that knowledge in her advocacy for her clients. She has developed a reputation for being able to resolve difficult disputes through negotiation, mediation and arbitration, while maintaining her skills to resolve the dispute in Court. She has represented clients at all levels of Court in both British Columbia and Ontario and has considerable trial experience.

Outside of the boardrooms and courtrooms, Emily is committed to her community. Her more significant commitments include: Chair of the BC Construction Subsection, Co-Chair of the Minerva Foundation Learning to Lead Program (a leadership program for women), Co-Chair for the PEAK Awards for the Association of Women in Finance in BC, and Committee Member and past speaker for the Annual Engineering and Insurance Conference of the Canadian Boiler and Machinery Underwriters.

Emily practiced at a well-respected full service law firm in Vancouver with a focus on insurance and commercial litigation. She moved back to Ontario to be closer to her family in 2013, and for several years enjoyed practicing at a recognized top insurance defence boutique.

Emily lives in the Annex with her husband, their daughter and they love everything Toronto has to offer.
